The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) has awarded the Distinguished Lecturer Designation to C&IH Director of Research and Development Dr. Andrey Korchevskiy for a second time. As described by the AIHA, the Distinguished Lecturer Program provides lectures on national and international occupational and environmental health issues that affect the practice of industrial hygiene. The program features prominent experts in industrial hygiene from academia, private industry, and government who lecture on current research and developments that affect workplace safety and the environment. Candidates are drawn from the AIHA membership, with both the lecturer and their presentations undergoing a comprehensive peer review process. Within the national membership, they are presently 28 individuals holding the designation of Distinguished Lecturer. Dr. Korchevskiy first received the designation in 2017 and has been awarded a new term in 2021 based in his recent lectures including “Risk Assessment for Asbestos and Other Fibrous Minerals: Introduction to the Quantitative Methods,” “Asbestos and Nanoparticles: Using Benchmark Dose Methodology for Risk Assessment,” and “Crash Course on Risk Assessment: Organic Agents, Metals, Nanoparticles.”
