Let Your Project Benefit From the Expertise We’ve Gained From Years of Experience

C&IH’s balance of technical knowledge and dedication to quality customer care is a unique asset to our clients.  While small firms are typically limited in technical resources and larger firms rarely provide the level of personal service every client deserves, C&IH offers the appropriate combination of experience and service to meet the unique needs of each client.

C&IH project experience includes working in manufacturing, industrial, commercial, and institutional environments.  We have completed projects with Fortune 500 corporations, international firms, and government entities including the U.S. Navy, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, Department of Health and Human Services, National Institute of Science and Technology, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, National Center for Atmospheric Research, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, National Forest Service, Federal Corrections Institute, Washington State Departments of Transportation, State of Colorado Department of Transportation, and several local cities, counties, utility districts, and school districts.

Our Leadership Team

Our technical staff includes eight certified industrial hygienists (CIH) with advanced degrees and educational backgrounds in chemistry, biochemistry, toxicology, epidemiology, minerology, microbiology, statistical analysis, information systems management, and ventilation engineering (PE).  Our staff also includes three Diplomates of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) and two Professional Simulation Engineers (PSE) certified by NAFEMS for demonstrated competency in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) which C&IH utilizes in support of exposure modeling activities.

International Task Force for Children’s Environmental Health (ITFCEH)

In 2011, C&IH founded the International Task Force for Children’s Environmental Health (ITFCEH).  Chaired by Dr. Andrey Korchevskiy of C&IH, ITFCEH includes members from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Israel, and Russia.  In collaboration with the International Affairs Committee of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), ITFCEH developed a draft version of a comprehensive AIHA guidance document concerning childhood lead poisoning in the countries of Eastern Europe, Caucasus, and Central Asia.  For this work, ITFCEH received the AIHA Outstanding Project Team Award in 2012.  Since then, ITFCEH’s ongoing activities have worked towards goals including:

  • Reduction of blood lead levels of children living in Kazakhstan and other countries of the former Soviet Union
  • Development of international reference levels and standard for lead and other heavy metals
  • Creation of local-based accredited analytical chemistry laboratories for chemical and biological analyses

C&IH staff also volunteer to support the development of industrial hygiene practices in South America.  Our team provides on-site training to local health and safety communities in Columbia, Mexico, and Panama in conjunction with ongoing remote guidance for various scientific projects.

C&IH provides national and international consulting from our office located near Denver, Colorado.
