C&IH’s simulation testing facility provides a unique way to understand retrospective, contemporaneous, and prospective potential exposure scenarios.

The simulation chamber enables historical or present work practices to be created or recreated in a specified and controlled environment. The design of C&IH’s simulation chamber includes modifiable walls, ceilings, and surface materials, as well as adjustable air flow rates into and out of the chamber.

These adaptable features enable the in-depth study of real-time contaminant dispersion associated with specific work practices and product exposures. The chamber can also be used to validate data generated by exposure modeling or historical exposure monitoring data.
