Risk Assessment Course on Organic Agents, Metals, and Nanoparticles to Be Led by C&IH at BOHS 2019

C&IH will lead a professional development course entitled “Crash Course on Risk Assessment: Organic Agents, Metals, Nanoparticles” at the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) 2019 Annual Conference on April 1st in Brighton, England. The course will demonstrate different methods and approaches used for risk assessment purposes, incorporating discussions on the structural components of the risk assessment paradigm and the interpretation of risk metrics, and will also include a statistical risk simulation. Case studies of hazardous agents including glyphosate, acrylamide, benzene, beryllium, cadmium, and nanoparticles will be used throughout the course. Speakers include Andrey Korchevskiy and Jim Rasmuson of C&IH, Andrew Darnton of HSE, and Bruce Case from McGill University.
