The Nebraska – Western Iowa local section of the American Industrial Hygiene Association is sponsoring a webinar by C&IH’s Director of Research and Development, Dr. Andrey Korchevskiy titled, “The Quantitative Risk Assessment: A (very) Short Introduction.”

The webinar will introduce the audience to a topic that is getting more and more traction in the field of industrial hygiene.  Topics to be covered include:

  • In what situations would industrial hygienists be benefited from calculating risk of disease for workers?
  • What information is required to estimate risks quantitatively?
  • How not to get lost in the complicated dose-response models.
  • How to interpret the results of risk assessment and to apply them in practice.

Dr. Korchevskiy will walk the audience through several case studies that will serve as “Quantitative Risk Assessment 101.”  The webinar will conclude with a question-and-answer session.

The webinar will take place Thursday, February 23 from 12p.m. to 1:30 p.m. CST.

To Register, please contact the Nebraska – Western Iowa local section at aiha.westiane@gmail.com.  Participants will receive an email invite the day prior with a link to the webinar on Microsoft Teams.
